4.5 Hour Course
INTENT
This block of instruction is designed to build upon those fundamentals learned in both New Shooter: Pistol Basics and Pistol: Fundamentals 1. New skills are added which begin to develop the students ability to confidently carry a firearm. Students will gain the ability to access their firearm safely, reload in a dynamic or tactical situation, and dive into situational awareness and how it provides the seconds that count.

Review of Universal Firearms Safety Rules (every class)
Range Brief - Identify Safe Directions
Discuss Natural Point of Aim and how to find YOUR personal stable shooting platform
This can be different for each person based on their bio-mechanics
Practice Clearing Stoppages (malfunctions)
Practice One-handed shooting
Introduce drawing from a holster (SAFELY)
Introduce Emergency & Tactical Reloads
Review how to safely conduct DRY-FIRE drills
COURSE OF FIRE
Cold fire drill from the low ready - 1 shot
Conduct accuracy drill(s)
Conduct confidence drill(s)
Conduct fun drill(s) (add additional Live Fire Drill Cards)
Repeat previous Live Fire Drill Cards for skill progress
Approx. 150 rounds of ammunition

SAFETY Requirement
Although this is a beginner level class students need to be able to demonstrate an attitude toward safe gun handling. Caviler attitudes to the safety of oneself, others, or the instructor will not be tolerated and the student may be removed at the instructor's discretion. Depending on situation the student may be invited back to a different class to help remediate those skills needed in successfully reattending this class.
